Many new patients have questions about their insurance coverage and allergy testing services in our office. It is important to remember that your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company: Every policy is different. What an insurance company will cover for you may be different than what it would cover for someone else.

If you are concerned about how your insurance will cover allergy testing, calling your provider is the best place to start. The back of your insurance card will show a number to call for customer service. Ask your insurance provider if allergy testing is a covered service under your plan. Ask “what is my responsibility for allergy testing?” You will receive one of 3 answers:

  • Insurance will cover 100% of allergy testing—In this case, you will only owe your office visit copay
  • Insurance will cover a percentage of allergy testing – In this case please contact our office. Our office manager can work with you to calculate what portion you will be responsible for
  • Insurance will not cover allergy testing – In this case, our office can work with you in setting up a payment plan to take care of the cost.

We want all of our patients to receive the best possible treatment and results. Please do not let the cost of allergy testing keep you from finding out answers about your allergy and asthma health.

We will work with you to make your treatment with us affordable and life changing!
